Aleksey and I are both avid fans of productivity systems here at Gingko, and I might be borderline obsessed with building the “perfect” system (dangerous word, by the way).
Yet, in all my years of obsession, I’ve never once tried or read extensively about the Getting Things Done (GTD) system. Which is a little like being a supposed wine connoisseur, and admitting to never having tried a Cabernet!
Then three weeks ago I received a call from a good friend of mine, raving about the transformation he saw in his brother, thanks to GTD.
That night I went into rapid-learning mode: I watched two 45 minute lectures, read 6 summary articles, and bought and read the book on Kindle.
Then I started implementing GTD myself (in Gingko, of course).
It’s a fantastic system, but for all my years of searching, I had never progressed beyond looking over a flowchart of it. Despite all the weight of evidence, the Amazon reviews, the recommendations of GTD by some of the most productive people on the planet.
All it took was a single personal recommendation from someone I trust, to flip that switch.
What does this have to do with Gingko?
Gingko is still a very young company. It’s still just the two of us. We live, grow, and thrive on Word of Mouth.
Don’t underestimate the impact you can have by recommending it. If Gingko has had any positive impact on your life, we ask you to please share it with someone you care about.
